How To: Export session recordings from Osirium PAM

Summary

If you are required to replace Osirium PAM, there is key information such as account credentials, session recordings etc that you may wish to extract from the PAM Server before it is decommissioned.


This article provides instructions on how to export session recordings from the PAM Server. For a full list of recommended offboarding tasks see Offboarding Data from Osirium PAM.

Note

User MUST have an Osirium PAM role of Admin or above to carry out this task. 

Follow the below steps to retrieve credentials for all Known, Managed and control accounts.


The steps will differ depending upon whether you have a File store configured, or whether your data is saved to your system disk.


Export session recordings WITH a File store configured

  1. Within the Admin Interface click Device access in the left-hand menu.
  2. On the Device access reports page, click on the checkbox above the Recorded column to only display device connections that were recorded.
  3. Within the Device connections section, right-click within the Device connections table and Select all from the context menu.
  4. All the device connections will be selected and show as highlighted.
  5. Click EXPORT VIDEO button.
  6. Within the Question window, click YES.
  7. Within the Action queue window, wait for the tasks to complete and click DONE.
  8. The .MP4 files will automatically be available on the configured File store location. 


Export session recordings WITHOUT a File store configured


Note

To avoid having to individually download each video, you may wish to configure a File store and follow the steps for Export session recordings WITH a File store configured.

  1. Within the Admin Interface click Device access in the left-hand menu.
  2. On the Device access reports page, click on the checkbox above the Recorded column to only display device connections that were recorded.
  3. Within the Device connections section, right-click within the Device connections table and Select all from the context menu.
  4. All the device connections will be selected and show as highlighted.
  5. Click EXPORT VIDEO.
  6. Within the Question window, click YES.
  7. Within the Action queue window, wait for the tasks to complete and click DONE.
  8. Within the Admin Interface, click Files in the left-hand menu.
  9. On the Manage files page, click the download icon next to each exported video.
  10. The .MP4 file will be downloaded:
    • If your Admin Interface is NOT being recorded and depending on how your browser is set up, the file will either be downloaded or you will be prompted to select a location to save the file.
    • If your Admin Interface is being recorded, then you will need to use the Shared Drive to download the file. Click here for more information.
